Abstract

Summary of the meeting between Minister Vítor Alves and the Press representatives, at the end of his visit to Porto. Reference to the comments on education, following the meetings he held with the academic authorities of Coimbra and Porto. The Minister of Education emphasised the problem of scant school facilities and the lack of teaching staff. He also mentioned the situation of working students, the limited budget, the civic service for students and the literary programme.

Síntese do encontro do Ministro Vítor Alves com os representantes da Imprensa, no final da sua visita à cidade do Porto. Registo das principais reflexões sobre o ensino, na sequência dos encontros que teve com as autoridades académicas de Coimbra e do Porto. O titular da pasta da Educação referiu-se, com particular destaque, à questão da carência de instalações e à falta de corpo docente. Referiu-se, também, à situação dos trabalhadores-estudantes, à exiguidade do orçamento, ao serviço cívico estudantil e ao programa de alfabetização.
