| Abstract: | News about the position of Dr. Ruy Luís Gomes, Rector for life of the University of Porto, given the incidents taking place in the Custóias jail-house, and demanding the release of prisoners who participated in the 25 November coup. Transcription of the telegram sent to the President of the Republic and to the Council of the Republic, endorsed by the former Rector and by other Porto academic authorities, showing their indignation at the incidents. Notícia da tomada de posição do Dr. Ruy Luís Gomes, Reitor vitalício da Universidade do Porto, face aos incidentes verificados no estabelecimento prisional de Custóias e exigindo a libertação dos presos por participação no golpe de 25 de Novembro. Transcrição do telegrama remetido ao Presidente da República e ao Conselho da República, subscrito pelo antigo reitor e por outras autoridades académicas portuenses, revelando indignação perante os acontecimentos. |
