The Rector of the University of Porto, Professor Amândio Tavares, received the Cross of the Legion of Honour from the French consul, Dr. Jean Mézière. Contains a summary of the respective speeches and information on the tribute banquet offered by the French Institute and the medal of the Order of Civil Merit awarded to the Rector of the University of Porto by the Spanish government.
